Burgundy Scrunchie (at right) was made with Pop Up yarn. (see
designer's notes)
Winter White Scrunchie (left) was made with Red Heart Yarn.
Designer's Notes: I don't recommend the Pop up yarn, which is soft and fluffy, for anything other then a Scrunchie . It Pills terribly!
This Scrunchie would probably look great in Simply Soft Brand or Chenille.
MATERIALS:
Worsted weight yarn
small leather strips
conches
pony beads
Size F
Elastic-covered ponytail holder
DIRECTIONS:
Foundation Row: sc ch1 sc ch1 until the band is very full of loops, sl st to beginning
Rnd 1: chain 3, tr (triple crochet) in every sc and ch1, sl st and fasten off.
Finishing: Next, take a conch (I'm using heart shaped conches) and a small leather strip (I used pink for pink, etc) attach conch with leather, slip a pony bead behind the work to hold the leather and conch in place!
