Materials:
Baby food jar
I hook
orange yarn
black yarn
black pipe cleaner
yard needle
wire cutters
Notes:
Depending on the size of the baby food jar, you may
have to add more rows for taller jars or decrease the number of rows
for the shorter jars. I used the standard baby food jar.
Directions:
Rnd 1: Ch 5 join with a sl st to make a circle.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, 10 dc in ring, join to top of ch 3, ch 1, turn.
Rnd 3: *2 sc in next st, 1 in next* Repeat from *
all the way around. Do not join.
Rnd 4: Sc in each sc around.
Rnd 5 - 11: Repeat row 4.
Rnd 12: *sc in next 4 sts, dec in next st* repeat
from * around.
Rnd 13 - 14: Sc in ea sc around. Finish off.
Finishing:
With black yarn and yarn needle, cross stitch desired face onto pumpkin. Cut pipecleaner for handle. Fasten each end to opposite sides of pumpkin. Join black yarn to pumpkin where you fastened the pipecleaner. Sc entire length of pipecleaner. Sl st to where you fastened the pipecleaner on the other side. Fasten off. Put baby food jar inside and fill with goodies.
