BRENDA'S ---- EZ POTHOLDER

This is a good way to use up those scrap pieces of yarn. I used the Sugar 'n Cream which is much less likely to melt than the manmade fibers. I made two large size and one regular size. The large size works good for pan pads, like the 9x13" size or the pizza pans.
Dec. 1995

Materials:

3 - 4 oz. 4 ply yarn, Sugar 'n Cream

H hook

Directions:

For regular size potholder ch 37, for large size ch 47 or so.

Rnd 1: sc in 2nd ch from hook and each remaining chain. When you arrive at the end, do not turn, continue working down the opposite side. For regular - 72 st, for large - 92.

Rnd 2: sc in each sc.

Continue to work around. You will notice the potholder starts to fold. When you have worked enough rounds so that the ends touch when folded, slst a seam. Before ending off, sc a ch about 3" long and attach at the beginning of the ch to form the hanging loop
