Says Vicky, I made Marcha Lavoie's sling bag -- it's lovely! . I found 3 small errors.

BODY OF SLING BAG:
Rnd1: Ch.2, work 10 sc into 2nd ch from hook, forming a ring. Do not
join, but mark
beginning of each round.
Rnd 2: 2 dc in each sc: 20 dc.
Rnd 3: *dc in next dc, 2 dc in following dc, repeat from * around: 30
dc.
Rnd 4: *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc, repeat from * around : 40
dc.
Rnd 5: dc in next dc, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc, repeat from
* around, end with 2 dc in next dc, dc in last 2 dc: 50 dc.
Rnd 6: dc in next 2 dc, * 2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc, repeat
from * around, end with 2 dc in next dc, dc in last 2 dc: 60 dc.
Rnd 7: *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 5 dc, repeat from * around: 70
dc.
Rnd 8: dc in next dc, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 6 dc, repeat from
* around, dc in
last 5 dc: 80 dc.
Rnd 9: dc in next 2 dc, *2 dc in next dc, dc in next 7 dc, repeat
from *around, 2 dc in next dc, dc in last 5 dc: 90 dc.
Rnds 10-32: dc in each dc around, until bag measures approx 20 in. Do
not end off.
STRAP
First Half of Strap:
Row 1: dc in next 42 dc: 42 dc
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), turn, work
decrease over next 2 sts
(*yo, insert hook into next st, pull up loop, yo, draw through 2
loops*, leaving 2 loops on
hook, repeat from * to *, then yo and draw through remaining 3 loops
on hook = dec made),
dc in each dc until last 2 dc, work dec over last 2 dc: 40 dc.
Row 3: Repeat Row 2: 38 dc.
Row 4: Repeat Row 2 :36 dc.
Row 5: Repeat Row 2: 34 dc.
Row 6: Repeat Row 2: 32 dc.
Row 7: Repeat Row 2: 30 dc.
Row 8: Repeat Row 2: 28 dc.
Row 9: Repeat Row 2: 26 dc.
Row 10: Work as in Row 2 instructions except work one additional dec
in middle
of row: 23 dc.
Row 11: Repeat Row 10: 20 dc.
Row 12: Repeat Row 10: 17 dc.
Row 13: Repeat Row 10: 14 dc.
Row 14: Repeat Row 10: 11 dc.
Row 15: Repeat Row 10: 8 dc.
Row 16: Ch 3, turn, dc in each of next 2 dc, dec over next 2 dc, dc
in each
of last 3 dc: 7 dc.
Rows 17-32: Ch 3, turn, dc in next dc and in each dc of row: 7 dc.
Strap
section will be approx 20 in.
End off, leaving a tail of yarn long enough for sewing ends of strap
together.
Second Half of Strap:
Row 1: Going back to end of row 1 of first half of strap, skip next 3
dc of
round 16, then join yarn with sl st to next dc,ch 3, work dc in each
of next
41 dc: 42 dc.
Rows 2-32: work as for First Half of Strap.
FINISHING
Sew together upper ends of strap. Work edging of sc (or any other
desired edging)
around each side of strap and top of body of bag. If desired, add
lining of cotton or
whatever fabric you prefer. If desired, in the space made by the
unworked 3 dc of
round 16, sew on snap closure or button closure by attaching a toggle
button, using
a crocheted loop or band attached to opposite side of top of body of
bag as fastener.
Weave in all loose ends.
