MATERIALS:

3 oz Red Heart Sport Weight Yarn
Crochet hook size G
2 yds of 1/4" satin ribbon
2 small buttons

DIRECTIONS:

DRESS

Begin at neck edge and ch 60.

Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each of next 6 chs (back), 3 dc in next ch, dc in ea of next 11 chs (sleeve), 3 dc in next ch, dc in each of next 16 chs (front), 3 dc in next ch, dc in ea of next 11 chs (sleeve), 3 dc in next ch, dc in ea of next 8 chs (back). Ch 3, turn.

Row 2: Skip first dc, dc in ea of 8 dc, 3 dc in next dc, dc in ea of next 13 dc, 3 dc in next dc, dc in ea of next 18 dc, 3 dc in next dc, dc in ea of next 13 dc, 3 dc in next dc, dc in ea of next 8 dc, dc in top of ch 3. Ch 3, turn.

Row 3: Skip first dc, dc in ea of next 9 dc, 3 dc in next dc [sk next dc, 1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc into next st (v stitch)], *sk 2 dc, 7 dc into next st; sk 2 dc, V st into next st; rep from *( once more--sleeve ruffle), sk next dc, 3 dc into next dc, dc into ea of next 20 dc, 3 dc in next dc; (repeat sleeve ruffle again), sk next dc, 3 dc into next dc, dc in ea of next 9 dc, dc in top of ch 3. Ch 3, turn.

Row 4: Skip first dc, dc in ea of next 10 dc, 3 dc in next dc (dc in next dc, dc in next dc, v stitch over v stitch, *sk 4 dc, 7 dc in next st (center of 7 dc group), skip 4 dc, v stitch over v stitch, rep from * once, dc in ea of next 2 dc--(sleeve ruffle), 3 dc in next dc, dc in ea of next 22 dc, 3 dc in next dc; repeat sleeve ruffle again, 3 dc in next dc, dc in ea of next 10 dc, dc in top of ch 3. Ch 3, turn.

Row 5: (Body) Skip first dc, dc in ea of next 11 dc, 3 dc in next dc, skip sleeve ruffle, 3 dc in center dc of next 3 dc group, dc in ea of next 24 dc, 3 dc in next dc, skip sleeve ruffle, 3 dc in center dc of next 3 dc group, dc in ea of next 11 dc, dc in top of ch 3. Join to top of beginning ch 3 into circle for waist. Ch 4, turn.

Row 6: Dc into next dc, skip 1 dc, *5 dc into next dc, skip 1 dc, v stitch into next dc, skip 1 dc, repeat from * around; end skip 1 dc, 5 dc into next dc, skip 1 dc, join to top of beginning ch 3. From here on, work in rounds and DO NOT TURN.

Row 7: Sl stitch into ch 1 space of v stitch, ch 4, dc in same space, *5 dc into center of 5 dc group, v stitch over v stitch, repeat from * to end of round ending 5 dc into center of 5 dc group. Join to top of ch 3 at beginning of round.

Repeat row 7 for 10 more rounds. End off. Weave in ends.

Neck edging: With right side facing, slip stitch into left back edge in base of 1st dc on foundation row. Ch 4, dc into same stitch, *sk 3 chs, work 5 dc into next ch, sk 3 chs, v stitch into next ch. Repeat from * around neck ending sk 3 chs, 1 dc into last ch. End off. Weave in ends.

Sew on buttons to end of first and 3rd row of bodice. Weave ribbon thru row 5 and tie in tow at center front of dress.


BOOTIES

Begin at sole and ch 13.

Round 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in ea of next 8 chs. Work 5 dc in last ch. Working down opposite side of ch, work 1 dc in ea of next 8 chs. Work 1 dc in last ch. Join to top of ch 3 with slip stitch. DO NOT TURN (25 dc).

Round 2: Ch 3, work 1 more dc in joining stitch; dc in ea of next 10 dc; work (2 dc in next dc, 1 dc in next dc) twice; dc in ea of next 9 dc; work 2 dc in last dc. Join as before (29 dc).

Round 3: Ch 3, dc in ea of next 9 dc; (dc dec in ea of next 2 sts) 5 times; dc in ea of last 9 dc. Join (24 dc).

Round 4: Ch 3, dc in ea of next 7 dc; (dc dec in ea of next 2 sts) 5 times; dc in ea of last 6 dc. Join (19 dc).

Round 5: Ch 2, hdc in next dc and in ea dc around. Join (19 hdc).

Round 6: Ch 1, sc in same stitch; *skip 1 st, 5 dc in next st, skip 1 st, sc in next st; rep from * around. End skip 1 st, 5 dc in last st. Join.

End off. Weave in ends. Weave ribbon thru round 5.
