Now that I have Clothespin Angels
(Annie's Attic) Angels are filling my craft spaces! I can't
stop making them! These exquisite angels are addictive. They
require sport weight yarn (I chose cotton and wool, the
former for the sheen and the latter for its homeyness),
clothespins, wooden balls, pipe cleaners, doll hair, paint
and other odds-n-ends for decoration.
The
instructions are
easy to follow and each of the
nine dresses are done before you even realize it.
I did make
one change in the
pattern. I felt that the wings
overpowered the angels and made them look like butterflies.
So I finished the wings off at the end of row 6, instead of
row 11.
These angels are so incredible that I had
to promise all of my work friends that I'd make them a
guardian angel!
For Christmas ornaments I substituted
thread for sportweight yarn on the wings: the results was
spectacular. I still have a bunch to make.
